This is a picture of the Golden Tower project, created by Seattle-based artist
Susan Robb. She asked 400 people to pee in jars, and created what you see above.
For the latest episode of L&R, we asked significantly less people to verbally pee into our microphones, and created what you're about to hear: an ode to the wonders of urine.
This is the single greatest contribution to the world of radio ever created. Take that,
David Fucking Isay. I'll be expecting my MacArthur genius award shortly.
The rundown:
- Jesse Allen loses a cribbage bet. Hilarity ensues.
- Maria has her first experience with a catheter. Hilarity does not ensue.
- Daphne talks about the secret cure to cancer and AIDs the pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know about.
- David Terry celebrates his 21st birthday by going to a shitty bar. Hilarity sort of has a grand mal seizure.
- Jesse reappears to explain why he wishes he could piss like a cappuccino machine.
- David describes the aftermath of his birthday. I won't say if hilarity is involved, but I will say it includes a hobo, several large black drag queens, and a plethora of awkward moments.
David's story was edited and scored by
Michael Kraskin, and first appeared on their podcast,
Catalogue of Ships.
